Jessica Ever formed in 2017 as a solo acoustic project in Chicago. She self-produced and released her debut EP, City by the Lake, in 2018. Jessica began writing and recording her first LP, How’s This for Distance?, in 2018, aiming for a full-band indie rock sound but working alone in her bedroom with Garageband. Jessica completed the project and released it in June 2021.

In 2023, Jessica Ever morphed into the full-band project it is today, featuring Sage (they/them; Carnivore Mommy, Misery Cord) on bass, Nick Cvijovic (he/him; Blind Adam and the Federal League, Enough Already) on drums, and a rotating cast of lead guitarists. They released their first full-band single, “Getting Warmer,” on June 21, 2024, and their first full-band, full-length record by the same name on June 12, 2026, recorded at Hot Mess Records; produced by Tony Baker and Kat Baker, and mastered by Doug McBride at Gravity Studios.

Jessica Ever has played venues around Chicago like The Burlington, Cafe Mustache, Cole’s, Reed’s Local, Uncommon Ground, Uptown Taproom, Lagunitas (RIP), Elbo Room (RIP!!), Golden Dagger (RIP!!!!), and more.
